Beauty Tips and Box of Beauty Goodies Giveaway

I am always joking with my husband, letting him know how hard it is to be beautiful. As a woman, we have the desire to look our best and feel our best every single day. Of course, I get tired of doing the daily routine with make-up, hair styling, and clothes. I spend more than an hour on my looks in the morning, but it always pays off. I always feel fabulous, beautiful, and accomplished. You may have noticed on The Army Wife, the Beauty Tip of the Day Widget. I have learned so much from this widget and click on it daily to read more. I am always searching for tips to improve my beauty and the widget has been a huge help over the past month. I, also, had the opportunity to try out some beauty products for myself, provided by Unilever. I received a box with Q-Tips, Dove Clinical Strength Deodorant, Vaseline, Dove Hair Spray, and Ponds Wet Cleansing Towelettes.

I have been using Dove Clinical Protection Deodorant for awhile now and have been very impressed with the results. I sweat, more than a normal woman, especially under my arms. During pregnancy, I have noticed an increase in my sweat glands under my arms and find myself reapplying deodorant throughout the day. I enjoy the fresh scent of the Dove Clinical Protection Deodorant and the overall results of wetness protection. According to the Beauty Tip of the Day Widget, each time you shave, you remove 20% of your skin, exposing new delicate skin that needs extra TLC. Dove deodorants can provide your underarms with the extra TLC it needs!

Q-Tips have been around for years. Although, most people use Q-Tips to clean our their ears (a big no-no by the way), I use Q-Tips to apply my make-up. I have been doing this for years now. I use the end of the Q-Tips to apply my concealer and to set in powder to cover up my blemishes. But, I discovered a new way to use Q-Tips to help my blemishes after following the Beauty Tip of the Day Widget. All you do is take a Q-Tip and an alcohol-free astringent and lightly dab on your blemishes. It may sting a little bit, even if it is alcohol-free. Once you have dabbed your blemishes you can use the other end of the Q-Tip to apply your concealer.

Ponds Wet Cleansing Towelettes is a new beauty product that I tried recently. I have always wanted to try the towelettes, but never had the opportunity to do so until now. The Ponds Wet Cleansing Towelettes removes more make-up than a traditional washcloth and water. I always feel like there is make-up still on my face after washing it. When I use the Ponds Wet Cleansing Towelettes, I not only remove my make-up, but the little beads exfoliate my face. The towelettes leave my face feeling fresh, clean, and make-up free. I can even see the make-up on the towelette after use. One towelette will remove all of the make-up on your face, even the mascara. The towelettes are great to use after a trip to the gym, or even a late night out on the town. I always remove my make-up before I go to bed, you never know what surprise you will have in the morning.

Vaseline is an all time favorite in my household. My mom used to tell me how it will be great for our little girl’s diaper rashes. Vaseline is definitely the ultimate beauty product. You can use Vaseline for cuts/scrapes, dry skin, acne, diaper rashes, burns, and to moisturize your lips. I have discovered new ways for using Vaseline through the Beauty Tip of the Day Widget. Vaseline can be used to treat your eyelashes. All you have to do is apply a dab of Vaseline to your eyelashes and it will condition your lashes, while make them look darker and glamorous. Vaseline can, also, be used to soften your cuticles! Who would’ve ever thought that? My cuticles can be come hard throughout the days and I really don’t pay attention to them. But, if you apply a small amount of Vaseline on your cuticles every morning and night, they will start to look healthy and soft.

Dove Hair Spray is, also, a new product I have tried recently. I usually use products I can find on sale. But, after using Dove’s Hair Spray, I will never go back to any other product. The hair spray smells great, which is unusual for any type of hair spray. I am usually choking after spraying my hair, because of the smell. You do not have to use a lot of the hair spray for your hair to stay in place. I noticed I used too much at first and my hair actually looked wet in some areas. Just a few sprays here and there and your hair will stay in place all day. Although this has nothing to do with the hairspray, I learned an awesome tip from the Beauty Tip of the Day Widget. Blow dry your hair outside of the bathroom. It is an easy tip, but something I have never done before. If you blow dry your hair outside of the bathroom, your hair won’t be so frizzy. The steam from the shower in the bathroom can leave your hair with unwanted frizz.

These are just some of the beauty tips provided by the Beauty Tips of the Day Widget. I will be leaving the widget up for another month, so my readers can get their daily tips. But, not only am I leaving the widget up, but Unilever is giving away a box of Beauty Goodies to one lucky reader of The Army Wife. The box will have a variety of products which will go along with the Beauty Tips of the Day Widget.

I never go to bed without applying some sort of anti-aging serum, a whitening agent between my teeth (specific for night time use) and lip balm. I wake up feeling pretty hot! :-)
