Texas Treats Giveaway

Although, I have never had the opportunity to go to Texas, I did have the opportunity to try out Texas Treats. Jackie Schwitter, Founder of Texas Treats, has created Texas-size gourmet baskets and gifts with a Lone Star State theme since 1991. Jackie is, also, an AAFES vendor and loves to do deployment gifts. Plus, Texas Treats is on the online AAFES shopping mall where you can always get a discount. Since being an army wife, I have met many people from Texas. I have enjoyed their stories and their love for the good ole’ Texas food. Not only do I enjoy food, but I love anything that is personalized. Texas Treats generously sent us the Personalized Chips & Salsa Combo to review. I have always been a fan of chips & salsa dip, so has my husband. When we go to the stores, we are always purchasing these items for a movie night at home.

We received two packages of El Paco Restaurant Style Seasoned Chips and one jar of Texas Treats famous personalized salsa. The salsa was my favorite, not only because it was personalized with the words “Salsa Ranchera SSG Anthony,” but because it was absolutely delicious. The salsa came in an 8oz jar, it wasn’t too spicy, more of a mild flavor, and it didn’t cause me any type of heartburn. While being pregnant, I have to watch out for the foods I eat, because I constantly have heartburn. I, also, loved the Seasoned Chips. We received two 4oz bags of chips, which is perfect for one sitting during a movie for the both of us. I usually buy plain Tortillas, but my husband and I really enjoyed the Texas Treats Seasoned Chips. There was a definite notice in the flavor, but again, it wasn’t spicy. If you purchase the Personalized Chips & Salsa Combo, you will receive one bag of Texas Shaped Chips and one personalized jar of Salsa. Also, if you purchase the combo, you will receive 10% off compared to buying the chips and the salsa separately. Texas Treats are perfect gifts for military families who are away from their hometown. Most of our friends are originally from Texas and I know they will enjoy these treats while they are deployed or stationed in another state.
