The Army Wife

I’ve been pretty artsy since I was little, just making little magnets and plaster things for my family or little elastic bracelets for my friends. But Olivia of ORO Jewelry Designs has me beat! Olivia is 10 years old and has been beading for six years – since she was FOUR! I find that very impressive, because beading takes some effort and knowledge and studying. I didn’t know that beading was such hard work, but you have to know how to make them sturdy, durable, and research different styles. I had no idea until I spoke to Olivia’s mom, Amy, who handles the technical stuff for Olivia’s shop. Olivia does everything by hand, creating pretty styles using quality materials. And, they are very affordable! My absolute favorite one is her brown charm bracelet, which features beautiful freshwater pearls, wooden beads, and brown shells. It takes some talent to figure out that gorgeous style!

Olivia was kind enough to allow me to review her white pearls with shades of brown bracelet and her wooden beaded bracelet. When i got them I was stunned at the quality of her work! They seriously looked like something I would buy at Belk for a crazy amount of money. I’ve heard that stringing pearls was a difficult task, but Olivia definitely has mastered the art. The pearl bracelet was wonderfully crafted, using a range of colors and sizes of pearls and was even adjustable with a little pearl on the end! The wooden bracelet was great too. The pattern was simple and elegant, and it too was crafted with great skill. They both fit very comfortably and smoothly, and I’m proud to wear them on my arm!
